The Kentucky Horse Park honors horses of all breeds and types, and there is no better place to meet some of these “stars of the park” than at the Horses of the World. During the summer months, the color, sound, and excitement of the show ring are captured twice daily in the Horses of the World Shows. Throughout the winter months, an informative walk-through presentation features several breeds in the barn area. All shows and presentations are included with park admission.
March 12 - October 31
The Horses of the World Shows are held daily at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
This half-hour presentation highlights the unique characteristics of selected breeds, while authentically costumed handlers put the horses through their paces. After each show, visitors have the opportunity to pet their favorite horses, take up close pictures, and speak with the handlers during the “meet and greet” sessions.
November 1 - March 14
Up Close and Personal Walk-Through Tour starts at 1:30 p.m. Training demonstrations will be held in the arena when the weather is permitting.
Guest Weekends were established to allow registries, clubs, organizations, and associations a chance to highlight their trademark breed or discipline in the Horses of the World Shows. It is proven that Guest Weekends are not only educational, but they are also great opportunities for outside exhibitors to showcase their horses at the Kentucky Horse Park. Guest Weekend participants peform twice-daily in the Horses of the World Shows and greet our visitors at ring-side or in their stables following each presentation. The park strives to fill each weekend throughout the summer with a different highlight.
