David Beisel on Ammeretto

David Beisel and Ammeretto led a ten horse jump-off to race home with the first place finish in the $50,000 Rood and Riddle Grand Prix. In front of a packed crowd in the Rolex Stadium, Beisel capped off a week of top finishes at Kentucky Summer Horse Show by also winning the Leading Rider Award presented by Envisian Products, LLC.

Since purchasing the 10-year-old gelding Outshine during the Florida winter season, Alexandra Worthington, 17, has enjoyed the experience of riding him in the equitation ring. The rising high school senior splits her time between New York and Las Vegas, and has trained with Beacon Hill Show Stables for over two years.


Anna Dryden was the first rider to set foot in Rolex Stadium on Friday morning. The adult amateur competitor from New York had her second child just five months ago, but was determined to have strong finishes in the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Speed class on both of her horses, Zartoes and Petrushka III.

Kentucky Summer Hore Show

On the opening day of the Kentucky Summer Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park, top hunter competitors were eager to head into the Stonelea Ring to kick-off competition.

On the opening day of the Kentucky Summer Horse Show, the Rolex Stadium played host to four show jumping classes that offered combinations the opportunity to warm up for an upcoming week of competition.

Man o' War Run for Big Red

The Kentucky Horse Park will host the Man o’ War Run for Big Red 5K/10K on its scenic grounds in Lexington, Ky. Aug. 5 at 8 a.m.

BreyerFest Gateway to India

BreyerFest® Gateway to India has announced its annual horse festival, which will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington for the 28th consecutive year! The festival will begin on July 14 and run through Sunday, July 16. 

Friday and Saturday the festival will open at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and on Sunday from 9: a.m.-4 p.m.

On Sunday, July 2, champion Standardbred trotter Mr. Muscleman will be inducted into the Harness Racing Living Horse Hall of Fame. To be inducted into one of the horse world’s most prestigious halls of fame, Mr. Muscleman would have to be an exemplary horse, exhibiting the best qualities of the Standardbred.
