Spring Bay Horse Trials
The Spring Bay Horse Trials are this weekend, April 6 and 7. Spring Bay is the first United States Equestrian Federation competition in the area for the new year for riders from novice to preliminary level and for horses that may be new to the sport of eventing as well. It is also a dual-site event with the trials being held at both the Kentucky Horse Park and the Masterson Station Park, a few miles away in Lexington.
Dressage and Stadium Jumping will be held on Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park, and Cross Country will be held on Sunday at Masterson Station Park. More than 250 horses have been entered to compete over the two days, with seven states and Canada represented in the registrations.
The Masterson Award will be given to the Junior Young Rider Preliminary Champion and the Foxmoor Trophy will be given to the Adult Amateur Preliminary Champion.
