The 16th Annual Purebred Morab Horse Association (PMHA) Morab Nationals: Championship and Futurity, a three-breed show for Morabs and their parent breeds, the Morgan and Arabian, will be held October 19-20, in the covered arena.
The Morab Nationals are United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and Arabian Horse Association (AHA) approved and serves as a Region 14 qualifier for Arabians. The Morab is a relatively new breed which arose in the mid-1980s as a compact and attractive all-purpose horse to ride, drive or goof around with. Created by combining Morgans with Arabians (hence the name Morab), a purebred Morab is a horse that has two Morab parents, not full Morgans, Arabians or Quarter Horses.
Founded in 1984, the PMHA is dedicated to informing the public of the Morab breed as a versatile horse. The special attributes of the Morab make it a family-friendly mount and the endurance and body structure of the Morab lends this breed to other equine pursuits of competition across many disciplines.
The PMHA adores these horses and hopes that you will come out to the nationals to fall under the Morab spell, too. For more information about the PMHA Morab Nationals, visit www.puremorab.com.
