For the 30th annual Julep Cup Show, the Mid-America Miniature Horse Club brings minis to go through their paces in the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park on July 5-7!
These little show horses will jump and strut their stuff as they go for the win in this tough competition. These pint-sized horses, frequently referred to as “minis,” are the smaller versions of the big guys. They are delightful characters, and require the same care and attention of their larger counterparts. Their size makes them enjoyable for both adults and children. These beautiful miniature horses are small in stature but mighty in spirit.
They are great to show in carriage driving, love to jump hurdles, cleverly perform tricks, play with children, navigate in, through and around obstacles, and hold their own in model classes.
There will be American Miniature horse aficionados from around the country in attendance. Some travel from as far as Florida, Texas, and Massachusetts, but largely from around Kentucky. There are over 200 mini horses scheduled to participate and 75 exhibitors.
Minis are clever and easy to train, show a strong personality, and they are quite versatile. If you can make it out for the Julep Cup Show, feast your eyes on these mini show horses. While attending the show, also visit the park’s resident American Miniature horse foals, Surrie and Skip, in the Kids Barn!
