The 4th annual Bluegrass Morgan Classic, an event that showcases the fantastic Morgan horses, will be at the Kentucky Horse Park, July 3-6!
The Morgan horse is an American breed recognized for its beauty, versatility, and friendly personality. Their sensible nature and people-oriented personality make them ideal trail horses and family companions. They also excel in carriage driving and in all equestrian sports.
The Bluegrass Morgan Classic is a USEF A-rated event. It is also an AMHA four-star horse show and the 2011 and 2012 Horse World People’s Choice Champion. Classes will include Mares In Hand, Fitting and Showmanship, Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Carriage Driving, Road Hack, Western Seat Equitation, Hunter Seat Equitation, Leadline, Stallions In Hand, Geldings In Hand, English Pleasure, Pleasure Driving, Classic Pleasure Saddle, Classic Pleasure Driving, Park Saddle, Park Harness, and Saddle Seat Equitation.
As part of “Leave your mark at the park,” winners of all championships will receive a Morgan Pavilion brick with the 11 Grand Championship winners receiving a Morgan Pavilion Patio Stone.
The Bluegrass Morgan Classic Youth of the Year Contest is offered for senior, junior, walk-trot, and stick horse exhibitors. The winner of the senior division will have the opportunity to represent the Bluegrass Morgan Classic at the National Youth of the Year Contest in Oklahoma City during the 2013 Morgan Grand National and World Championship in October.
