Achievements of Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council and Lexington community draw national acclaim

President Bill Clinton will celebrate Earth Day in Lexington, Ky, to bring attention to the outstanding sustainability efforts made by local students and leaders.  Clinton will visit the Bluegrass on April 23 to speak with nearly 6,000 students, parents, teachers, administrators and community and state leaders at the Kentucky Horse Park Alltech Arena in special recognition of the Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council, a coalition of students representing all Fayette County public and private high schools.

Led by Student Facilitator and Henry Clay High School senior Jane Brady Knight, the Bluegrass Youth Sustainability Council is a collaborative of action-oriented student leaders who join forces with community partners to create powerful improvements and forge solutions in all areas of sustainability.
