There is probably a good one near you! Volunteer your time, post their adoptable horses on your facebook pages, help them acquire items from their wish lists, support their fundraisers, or just send them a note to tell them how much you appreciate their life-saving work. 

Groups like the Kentucky Equine Humane Center and the Maker's Mark Secretariat Center here at the park work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and adopt horses into loving homes, and they need your encouragement!
