The Kentucky Horse Park is a unique treasure in the Bluegrass. The park's world-class show facilities welcome more than 15,000 competition horses at shows each year. Headquarters and offices of many national equine associations and organizations are located in the National Horse Center on these same grounds that now generate an estimated $260,000,000 in economic impact and many jobs.
Along with the strong support from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, gifts to the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation from the private sector - both individual and corporate - help the park build and maintain show facilities, conduct special research initiatives, complete landscaping projects, and host special art exhibits such as Imperial China and All the Queen's Horses.

“What is interesting about the Kentucky Horse Park is how multi-dimensional it is. Defining the Kentucky Horse Park in a single sentence is difficult. It is almost better experienced than explained.”
John Nicholson, Kentucky Horse Park Executive Director

“If you have a love of horses and you have a love of green space and you have a love of beauty, just to stand at the Kentucky Horse Park when all the horses have been put to bed…there’s no way you can’t love it. It has a surreal, wonderful feeling.”
Alston Kerr, Kentucky Horse Park Commission Chair
