An outstanding display of 24 of the park’s equine breeds representatives are located in the Breeds Barn. Here, the color, sound and excitement of the show ring is captured twice daily in the Parade of Breeds during the summer months and an informative walk through presentation during the winter months.

Parade of Breeds

March 15th through October 31st
Parade of Breeds presentation is held at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

November 1st through March 14th
Up Close and Personal Walk Through Tour starts at 1:30 p.m.

The half-hour presentation highlights the unique characteristics of selected breeds, while authentically costumed handlers put the horses through their paces. After the show visitors have the opportunity to meet and pet their favorite horses and talk with the handlers.

Friesian Spectacular

Clay Maier and his spectacular Friesians will be showing in the Parade of Breeds and in special presentations throughout the summer. During the winter they are on display in the historic Big Barn and Clay is training some of our park staff with his beautiful horses over the winter months.

Breeds Weekends:

Established to allow registries, clubs, organizations and associations time to highlight their favorite breed or discipline while being part of the park. Limited to 12 horses per weekend, it is proven that Breeds Weekends educate our visitors and bring a sense of pride in a job well done to those exhibiting. Breeds Weekend guests participate in the Parade of Breeds and greet our visitors in the historic Big Barn where they are stabled. Invitations are sent out in November and the schedule is set by March 15th to fill each weekend throughout the summer with a different highlight.
