Adoptable Horses

Cody

Cody is a flashy black and white Paint Horse gelding with beautiful blue eyes that is 19 years young! He has been one of the stars in our Horses of the World shows for 10 years, but is now looking for a forever home. Cody has some mild lameness issues from time to time that can easily be maintained with a good farrier and a regular maintenance of joint supplements. He would be perfect as a trail horse or used for light riding.

Each Paint Horse is a “one-of-a-kind” given the combination of their markings and conformation, but their temperament, versatility and athletic ability makes each one truly unique. For more information about the Paint Horse, please visit the breed’s information page on the park’s International Museum of the Horse website at http://imh.org/index.php/exhibits/online/horse-breeds-of-the-world/north-america/item/2229-american-paint-horse.

Kimba

Kimba is a very cute buckskin pinto Shetland Pony. She has been driven in our Horses of the World show, and she is a solid driving pony when driven regularly. She is 9-years-old, and sound with shoes on her front feet while driving for support. Kimba would be a great driving partner. For more information about the Shetland Pony, please visit the breed’s information page on the park’s International Museum of the Horse website at http://imh.org/exhibits/online/shetland-pony.

Max

Max is a chestnut appendix Quarter Horse gelding in his 20’s. He used to pony Thoroughbreds at the racetrack before his time at the Kentucky Horse Park. He isn’t riding sound but is very kind and has experience in taking care of young horses and keeping a pasture friend company. For more information about the Quarter Horse, please visit the breed’s information page on the park’s International Museum of the Horse website at http://imh.org/exhibits/online/american-quarter-horse.
